Children are encouraged to complete at least 30 community service hours each program year, with a goal of 100 hours. Those completing 30 hours will receive chapter recognition, while those reaching 100 hours will receive both chapter and regional recognition.

Our mission is to expand access to meaningful community service opportunities while cultivating a lifelong commitment to service in children and teens. Through intentional partnerships, hands-on volunteer experiences, and leadership development, we strive to inspire young people to become community-conscious, compassionate, and civically engaged adults who recognize their responsibility to improve the lives of others. Together, we are building a culture where service becomes a way of life and every act of kindness strengthens our community.

Education & Literacy
Expand access to books with the Garland NAACP, Garland ISD, Hope’s Door New Beginning Center, Life Message Food Pantry, and our chapter’s Little Free Libraries.
Health & Wellness
Partner with Mt. Hebron Church and the American Red Cross for blood donation, sickle cell education, donor support, and our chapter goal of collecting 35 units of blood.
Youth Helping Youth
Work alongside youth-led KiTNETiC to pack hands-on STEM and school-supply kits for local students and school districts.
Food Insecurity & Hunger Relief
Sort, pack, and distribute food with Minnie’s Food Pantry, Mt. Hebron Food Pantry, and Amazing Grace Food Pantry.
Maternal & Infant Health
Support March of Dimes March for Babies and expand service with Children’s Health and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital to assist infants and families.
Civic Engagement
Partner with the City of Garland through the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade and voter-registration initiatives that empower families to use their voices.
Environmental Conservation
Build on the teens’ work with the Oak Cliff Veggie Project, including more than 250 starter seedlings planted for community farms, while expanding cleanups, conservation education, and Little Free Library maintenance.
